
Shopkeepers organize langar on Mahashivratri in Qadian
Gurdaspur- On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, shopkeepers on Railway Road in Qadian organized a mass langar. This langar was organized in front of Mahendra Pal Kirana Store. People from all communities participated enthusiastically in this event and enjoyed the food. Shopkeepers came together and left no stone unturned to make this langar a success. Delicious dishes like puri, vegetables, halwa and rice were served in the langar.

Shri Mahendra Pal, (a shopkeeper) said on this occasion, “Organizing langar on the day of Mahashivratri holds special significance for us. It gives us an opportunity to increase mutual brotherhood and express our devotion towards Lord Shiva.”
Mahashivratri is a major festival of Hinduism, dedicated to Lord Shiva. On this day, devotees observe fast, stay awake all night and remain immersed in the worship of Shiva. Through this langar, the residents of Qadian not only celebrated this festival but also set an example of unity and harmony in the community.
