
Farmers will march to Chandigarh on March 5
Nawanshahr, 22 February- Active farmers of Kirti Kisan Union District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar held a meeting in the grain market of Nawanshahr. During the meeting, District President Surinder Singh Bains, State Committee Member Bhupinder Singh Waraich and District Secretary Tarsem Singh Bains said that there was an in-depth discussion on cancelling the new Krishi Mandi draft, the demand for MSP on potato, cabbage, peas, moong, basmati, maize and other crops, resolving cooperative bank loans through one-time settlement, stopping government interference in cooperative institutions and implementing the demands accepted by the Modi government.

The leaders said that a permanent protest will be held in Chandigarh on March 5. For which meetings and rallies of farmers and tenants will be held in the villages. He further said that as per the decision of the United Kisan Morcha, on March 5, a convoy of about 100 tractor trolleys will join the Chandigarh permanent protest under the leadership of Kirti Kisan Union from Nawanshahr.
On this occasion, Surjit Kaur Uttal, district president of the Kirti Kisan Union Women's Wing, Paramjit Singh Shahabpur, Jeevan Begowal, Karnail Singh Udapar, Major Singh, Ram Ji Das Sanawa, Avtar Singh Udapar, Gurdev Singh Chauhan, Avtar Cat, Jagtar Singh Jadla, Bahadur Singh Dharamkot, Mohan Singh Langroa, Nirmal Singh Mallpur Adarkan, Amandeep Singh, Sandeep Singh, Makhan Singh Bhanmajra and others were present.
