Patiala, February 20- Patiala Police Special Cell got a big success when it arrested 5 associates of US-based gangster Manpreet Singh alias Mani Bhinder.
The accused were plotting to kill two people in Patiala and Moga. Police have recovered 5 pistols and 23 cartridges from the accused. All the accused were travelling in a Swift Dzire car. They were caught near Dhaka Colony (Kotwali police station).
SSP Dr. Nanak Singh, while talking to the media here, said that the main accused Harpreet Singh alias Makhan is a resident of Saifdipur (Patiala) and eight cases are registered against him. Ram Singh is a resident of Bhawanigarh in Sangrur district. Lovepreet Singh Billa is a farmer. Harpreet Singh Happy is responsible for the double murder.
He is an associate of gangster Bhupi Rana and Ankit Rana. Ram Singh is associated with gangster SK Kharoud. Lovepreet Singh is associated with Billa Gujjar gang and is responsible for the murder of Jogi Sarpanch in Pasiana in 2018.
