17 February Garhshankar- Olympian Jarnail Singh Memorial Football Tournament Committee Garhshankar met under the chairmanship of Senior Vice President Dr. Harvinder Singh Bath, in which Tournament Committee Chairman Mukhtiar Singh Heer USA and other members and NRI members participated. During the meeting, special thanks were given to the local residents, sports lovers, foreign sports committees, NRIs and players who contributed to the successful completion of the 22nd state level football tournament.
On this occasion, Dr. Harvinder Singh Bath and General Secretary Balbir Singh Bains said that during the ongoing tournament, a person belonging to the family of Olympian Jarnail Singh committed a very disgusting act of misbehaving and abusing the Committee Chairman Mukhtiar Singh Heer and the committee members present on the spot controlled the situation with great wisdom.
During this, all the committee members strongly condemned this incident and demanded a strict decision for the future tournaments with the consensus of all. During the meeting, the committee passed a thanks resolution for sending financial assistance of one lakh by Sonalika Tractors Hoshiarpur like every year.
