
Punjab Employees and Pensioners Front handed over a memorandum of demands to Deputy Speaker Rori
Garhshankar 17/02/25- As part of the state-wide program of handing over memorandums of demands to all the MLAs of Punjab, today hundreds of employees and pensioners of Block Garhshankar, under the leadership of Makhan Singh Wahidpuri, Amrik Singh, Sham Sundar Kapoor, Sukhdev Dancewal, Sarup Chand, Sharmila Rani, Vinod Kumar, Parminder Singh Pakhowal, Harjinder Suni and Jeet Bagwai handed over a memorandum of their burning demands to the local MLA and Deputy Speaker Shri Jai Krishna Singh Rori.
Garhshankar 17/02/25- As part of the state-wide program of handing over memorandums of demands to all the MLAs of Punjab, today hundreds of employees and pensioners of Block Garhshankar, under the leadership of Makhan Singh Wahidpuri, Amrik Singh, Sham Sundar Kapoor, Sukhdev Dancewal, Sarup Chand, Sharmila Rani, Vinod Kumar, Parminder Singh Pakhowal, Harjinder Suni and Jeet Bagwai handed over a memorandum of their burning demands to the local MLA and Deputy Speaker Shri Jai Krishna Singh Rori.
The leaders, while placing their demands before the Deputy Speaker, said that the promises made by the AAP government to the employees and pensioners have not been fulfilled till date. Despite the continuous struggle of the employees and pensioners, the Punjab government is not ready to listen to them. Even the Chief Minister did not hold a meeting despite giving time to the Morcha several times, due to which there is a lot of anger against the government among the employees and pensioners.
The leaders said that all types of temporary employees serving in government departments for a long time should be regularized immediately, old pension scheme should be implemented, mid-day meal, Anganwadi and Asha workers should be brought under the purview of minimum wage, cash payment of arrears of Pay Commission and DA should be made immediately, 2.59 coefficient should be implemented for pensioners, computer teachers should be regularized immediately and brought under the education department, privatization of government institutions should be stopped, vacant government posts should be filled immediately, inflation should be curbed and strict action should be taken against anti-social elements and drug smugglers.
At this time the Deputy Speaker assured that he would make every possible effort to get these legitimate demands resolved. At this time Master Nitin Suman, Pawan Kumar Garhi, Harbhajan Singh, Gurnam Hajipur, Jagdish Rai, Hans Raj, Gopal Das, Jaswinder Kaur, Kashmir Kaur, Jagdish Pakhowal, Parveen Kumar, Major Singh, Gurneet Wahidpuri, Gurdeep Bedi, Amanpreet Bedi, Satpal were present.
