'Door to door' awareness campaign started in Una regarding waste segregation

Una, February 14- A special 'Door to Door' awareness campaign has been launched to promote waste segregation under Swachh Shahr-Samriddha Shahr Abhiyan in Nagar Nigam Una. Under this campaign, members of self-help groups went door-to-door in various wards of East Council in the Municipal Corporation area and informed people about proper disposal of wet, dry and harmful waste.

Under this campaign, members of self-help groups went door-to-door in various wards of East Council in the Municipal Corporation area and informed people about proper disposal of wet, dry and harmful waste.
Municipal Corporation Wool Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar appealed to all the citizens to cooperate in this initiative and said that Municipal Corporation residents should adopt waste segregation from their homes and contribute to making a clean, beautiful and prosperous Wool.
As part of this campaign, 145 houses in Ward No. 2 were visited on Friday and information was sought from local residents whether they give wet and dry waste separately, whether their house is connected to sewage line and whether septic tank facility is available. During this, the citizens were also told through the sanitation workers that they should segregate the waste properly so that it can be properly disposed of.

As part of this campaign, Safai Mitra conducted a logging campaign behind the National Career Service Center at Rampur and cleaned the area. Local people appreciated this initiative and said that it will promote cleanliness in the area.
Suman, a resident of Ward No. 2, said that this is a good initiative and now they will segregate the waste regularly. At the same time, Poonam of this ward said that if the garbage is separated from the houses, then it can be disposed of properly. Asha Devi of Ward No. 2 also praised this campaign and said that along with awareness, citizens will have to change their habits and separate garbage every day so that this campaign can be successful.
