Una, February 11- On the occasion of Safe Internet Day, a cyber security awareness workshop was organized for government employees at the Mini Secretariat Una. In the workshop, District Informatics Officer (NIC) Una Bhupinder Singh gave detailed information on the increasing cyber crimes on the Internet and measures to avoid them. More than 40 employees from various government departments participated in it.

Una, February 11- On the occasion of Safe Internet Day, a cyber security awareness workshop was organized for government employees at the Mini Secretariat Una. In the workshop, District Informatics Officer (NIC) Una Bhupinder Singh gave detailed information on the increasing cyber crimes on the Internet and measures to avoid them. More than 40 employees from various government departments participated in it.
Bhupinder Singh said that at present, cases of fraud through the Internet and phone calls are increasing rapidly, due to which everyone needs to be alert. He discussed in detail the ways to identify and prevent challenges like phishing, malware, identity theft and cyber harassment. He advised government employees to adopt safe password management, two-level authentication and cautious online habits.
He cautioned not to share their banking and personal information on any suspicious phone call, email or link. Beware of tempting emails and SMS from unknown sources and in case of any online fraud, immediately lodge a complaint on Cyber ??Helpline 1930.
An interactive session was organized at the end of the workshop in which the doubts of the participants regarding cyber security were resolved.
On this occasion, District Planning Officer Sanjay Parmar, E-District Manager Sahil Sharma, Naib Tehsildar (Election) Ajay Kumar along with officers and employees of various departments were present.
