Zirakpur: A heart-wrenching incident came to light at 7.30 pm on Monday night in the main market of Baltana. 17-year-old Krish, a resident of Panchkula, was stabbed to death by some youths, while his friend Prince was also attacked with a knife. However, Prince survived and is undergoing treatment at Sector 32 Hospital in Chandigarh.
Deceased Krish's father Rakesh Negi said that his son had left home on Monday evening saying that he was going to a party with friends. According to the information, Krish and his friend had an argument with seven to eight youths in Baltana over something. The argument escalated so much that the accused attacked both of them with a knife.
After the incident, the accused fled from the spot. However, their pictures were captured in a nearby CCTV camera. Baltana police post in-charge Satnam Singh said that the police reached the spot as soon as the information was received, but by then the accused had fled.
The police have registered an FIR in the case and raids are being conducted to identify the accused and arrest them. The outpost in-charge assured that the accused will soon be arrested and put behind bars.
There is an atmosphere of mourning at Krish's house after the news of his death. The local people are also terrified by this incident and are demanding the immediate arrest of the accused.
