Green Mining Day celebrated in Basal

Una, September 13 - Green Mining Day was celebrated at Basal in Una district on Friday. On this occasion, Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal and Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh participated in the plantation program and planted saplings. They planted mango saplings and emphasized the importance of such efforts towards environmental protection.

On this occasion, Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal and Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh participated in the plantation program and planted saplings. They planted mango saplings and emphasized the importance of such efforts towards environmental protection.
Let us tell you, the District Crusher Association, expressing its commitment towards environmental protection, has decided to celebrate 13 September every year as Green Mining Day. In this context, the District Crusher Association had organized this program in collaboration with the Forest Department.
Around 1100 saplings of mango, guava, jamun, amla and kachnar were planted in the program. Apart from this, 4000 saplings were distributed to the children of Rudra International Public School present in the program so that they can also play their role in protecting the environment.
On this occasion, MLA Vivek Sharma said that environmental protection is the duty of every person in the society. It is necessary that all of us are aware of the environment. This tree plantation program is an important step towards creating a green and healthy environment for the coming generations.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, various schemes are being promoted for environmental protection and development in the state. Continuous efforts are being made to increase the green cover in the Kutlehar assembly constituency, so that we can build a clean and green Himachal.
On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal said on this occasion that this program organized by the Forest Department further strengthens our efforts to protect the environment. Plantation is a long-term investment which will help in making our future green and healthy. We have to ensure that the planted saplings are taken care of properly, so that they can become healthy trees and benefit the environment.
On this occasion, the MLA also distributed aid and incentives amounting to Rs 1.25 lakh to the needy people and Horanar children on behalf of the District Crusher Association.
On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh, DFO Sushil Rana, State President of Crusher Association Dimple Thakur and other officials, State Congress Secretary Deshraj Gautam, Kutlahar Block Congress President Ram Asra, other Forest Department officials, school children and local people were present in large numbers.
