All employees took oath during the 100-day campaign being run under the TB Free India program

Hoshiarpur- During the 100-day TB Free Campaign being run under the “National TB Control Program” by the Health Department Punjab to root out a serious disease like TB, today all the employees took an oath of everyone's cooperation and participation in the eradication of TB in the Civil Surgeon Office under the chairmanship of Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Kamlesh Kumari and under the leadership of District TB Control Officer Dr. Shakti Sharma.

During this, District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia, District Epidemiologist (IDSP) Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Deputy Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur, Superintendent Mr. Manohar Singh and all the staff of the office were present. Sharing information during this, Dr. Shakti said that under this campaign, high-risk TB patients of the district are being examined and treated.
Giving further information, he said that TB is no longer incurable. With this campaign, we will take a big step towards TB eradication. He appealed to the health workers and the general public to actively cooperate in this campaign and said that every goal can be achieved with unity and dedication. He said that in this campaign, special attention is being given to those groups who are more vulnerable to TB by forming teams at the ground level.
Under this campaign, special attention is being given to people suffering from diabetes and malnutrition, smokers and alcohol drinkers, HIV infected and former TB patients and the working class people working in kilns, construction sites and factories. He said that the efforts of every health worker, Nishchay Mitra and the general public associated with tuberculosis will prove to be a milestone in TB eradication.
