Boards of all types of institutions, organizations and shops in the district should be written in Punjabi language (Gurmukhi script)

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 28: As part of the Punjab Government's efforts to promote the state language of Punjab, Punjabi, orders have been issued to write the names of all government, semi-government offices/departments/institutions/organizations/educational institutions/boards/corporations/educational institutions/government and non-government organizations/public and private organizations/public and private shops and commercial establishments/commercial establishments registered under Society Act/Factory Act etc. and names of roads/name plates/mile stones/sign boards in Punjabi language (Gurmukhi script).

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 28: As part of the Punjab Government's efforts to promote the state language of Punjab, Punjabi, orders have been issued to write the names of all government, semi-government offices/departments/institutions/organizations/educational institutions/boards/corporations/educational institutions/government and non-government organizations/public and private organizations/public and private shops and commercial establishments/commercial establishments registered under Society Act/Factory Act etc. and names of roads/name plates/mile stones/sign boards in Punjabi language (Gurmukhi script).
In view of these instructions, District Language Officer Dr. Darshan Kaur said that as per the instructions of the Punjab Government, while writing the board, Punjabi language (Gurmukhi script) should be written first at the top. If the board has to be written in any other language, then Punjabi language (Gurmukhi script) will be written in another language below. It is noteworthy that as per these instructions, instructions have also been issued to semi-government and non-government organizations, private shops and business establishments to write their signboards in Punjabi language.
As per Rule 23 of the notification dated March 24, 2023 of the Labour Department of the Government of Punjab, the names of all the institutions will be written in Punjabi (Gurmukhi script) on the board and where other languages ??have also been used, those languages ??will be after the Punjabi language. Punjabi language will be written prominently by giving more space to the board than other languages ????(if any). In case of non-compliance of these orders, action will be taken to impose penalty as per the provisions of the Act.
District Language Officer Dr. Darshan Kaur has strongly appealed to the district residents and all the shopkeepers of the district to understand their moral responsibility towards the mother tongue Punjabi and cooperate fully in this work and write the boards of all types of institutions, establishments and shops located in the cities, villages and towns of the district in Punjabi. Special attention should be paid to Punjabi spelling on the board.
