
ATMA Management Committee Meeting Held
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 27: A meeting of ATMA Management Committee was held under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Ashika Jain and under the chairmanship of Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Gurmel Singh, in which officers and employees of the concerned departments participated.

Deputy Project Director (ATMA) Mrs. Shikha Singla discussed the work done during the year 2024-25 and the action plan for the year 2025-26 with the officers/employees of the concerned departments. The action plan of ATMA scheme is passed by the District Level Committee after being passed by the Block Level Advisory Committee. Dr. Balbir Singh Khara, Deputy Director KVK SAS Nagar proposed a project with the help of ATMA scheme under evaluation, refinement and verification in the year 2025-26 and also proposed a Farm Field School related to dairy.
Mr. Gurjeet Singh, Assistant Director Fisheries gave an action plan about the work to be done by the department in relation to fish fry demonstration plot, exposure visits and trainings. Dr. Alamdeep Kaur Assistant Director Animal Husbandry gave an action plan regarding the cattle vaccination camp. Dr. Raman Karoria Block Agriculture Officer Majri presented an action plan after getting advice from the Block Farmers Advisory Committee about the activities to be undertaken by the farmers of the block during the year 2025-26.
Dr. Shubkaran Singh Block Agriculture Officer Kharar also presented an action plan and Block Derabassi presented its action plan. Mr. Balveer Singh, representative from Forest Department informed that medicinal plants will be made available to the farmers in coordination with ATMA scheme. Farmer members Mr. Baljinder Singh and Mr. Rajveer Singh informed that demonstration plots of winter maize should be made available to the farmers under ATMA scheme and mineral mixture should be provided.
Dr. Gurmel Singh SAS Nagar Chief Agriculture Officer assured the officers/employees of the concerned departments and farmers present in the meeting that the targets set during the year 2025-26 will be achieved as per the action plan and suggestions received from them.
