
Voter's Day was celebrated at Red Cross Drug Detoxification Center, Nawanshahr.
Nawanshahr- A seminar was organized on National Voter's Day at Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Drug Victims, Nawanshahr. The seminar was chaired by Project Director Mr. Chaman Singh. He said that the celebration of National Voter's Day was first started in the year 2011 by the then President Pratibha Patil.

He said that the celebration of National Voter's Day was first started in the year 2011 by the then President Pratibha Patil.
At that time, this day was celebrated for the first time on 25 January. National Voter's Day is celebrated every year on 25 January. The importance of celebrating this day is to create awareness among the people to increase the use of votes as well as to encourage the people of the country to participate in the election process.
He said that voters play a big role in the foundation of a strong democracy. In such a situation, National Voter's Day works to encourage the people of the country to participate in a better democratic future. On this occasion, all the people present also took an oath that we will use our vote honestly and will elect an educated and honest person. Which is necessary for the progress of the country.
While making the people present aware, he said that our one vote has a lot of power which decides the future of the country. Jaswinder Kaur, Dinesh Kumar, Manjit Singh, Pravesh Kumar, Kamala Rani, Jaswinder Kaur and Maryj were present on this occasion.
