Garhshankar, January 25- On January 20, 2025, a very big decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court came in favor of the employees recruited after July 2020 in various departments of Punjab. Earlier, various petitions were filed in the Hon'ble Court of Punjab and Haryana High Court to get Punjab Pay Scale by cancelling the letter dated 17-07-2020, out of which the decision came in favor of the employees in CWP 15896 of 2023 Saurabh Sharma and others vs. Government of Punjab dated 13/09/2024.
The Punjab Government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding this decision, SLP (C) No. 1158/2025, Diary No. 1379/2025, which has been rejected by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. With this, the Punjab Government has no other option but to not implement the Punjab Pay Scale on these employees of Punjab. It is noteworthy that petitions have also been filed by the employees of various departments, in which the Hon'ble High Court has given instructions to implement the decision of Saurabh Sharma vs. Government of Punjab.
The government, which claimed to bring thousands of guarantees before coming to power, has proved to be a failure on every issue. Whether it is the issue of old pension or any issue related to employees, the government is postponing every issue, the brunt of which the government may have to face in the coming time. The Morcha leaders said that if the government does not follow the orders of the Supreme Court, then in the coming time the Morcha will wage a fierce struggle against the government and the government will be surrounded.
