Block level awareness camp in Ravmapa Kuthar Kala

Una, January 23. Integrated Child Development Project Una under the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Himachal Pradesh organized a block level awareness camp on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan and menstrual hygiene at Government Senior Secondary School, Kuthar Kala. The camp was presided over by Circle Supervisor Fatehpur Nanaki Devi.

Integrated Child Development Project Una under the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Himachal Pradesh organized a block level awareness camp on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan and menstrual hygiene at Government Senior Secondary School, Kuthar Kala. The camp was presided over by Circle Supervisor Fatehpur Nanaki Devi.
Supervisor Nanaki Devi told that proper nutrition is necessary for a strong foundation. To realize the vision of malnutrition free India, it is necessary to provide proper nutrition to all. The main objective of Poshan Abhiyan is to make adolescents, pregnant and lactating women aware about the prescribed nutrition and to provide them proper nutrition. She gave detailed information to the children about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan and informed the girls about good touch and bad touch. She said that while the cooperation of the people is necessary for the success of these programs, inclusive participation of public representatives, school management committees, government departments, social organizations and all public and private sectors is expected.
In this awareness camp, Dr. Pallavi Sharma from the Ayurvedic department gave information to the children about menstrual hygiene and anemia. Apart from this, the girls were made aware about their food and drink and what they should take care of during menstruation. Emphasizing on nutrition, she explained to the children that if our food habits are right, then anemia in children will be cured.

They were honored
Slogan writing and speech competitions were also organized for children in the awareness camp. Muskan got first place in slogan writing competition, Anshika got second place and Sheetal got third place and Komal, Riya and Anjali got third place in speech competition. The participants who topped the competition were also honored with mementos.
