Awareness seminar organised by District Road Safety Committee at Lawrence Public School Phase-7 Mohali

SAS Nagar 20 January 2025: Under the National Road Safety Month being celebrated from 1st January to 31st January, District Road Safety Committee Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar organised an awareness seminar on traffic rules and road safety at Lawrence Public School, Mohali today. On this occasion, a free eye check-up camp was also organised for school bus drivers.

On this occasion, a free eye check-up camp was also organised for school bus drivers.
On this occasion, RTO Pradeep Singh Dhillon, ARTO Rohit Kumar, Ranpreet Singh Bheura STA Punjab (PB01), Janak Raj Incharge Traffic Education Cell District Police and Constable Khushpreet Kaur, Harpreet Singh Awardee Road Accident, Sandeep Singh Red Cross informed the school teachers, students and bus drivers and conductors of various schools of Mohali at Lawrence Public School SAS Nagar about traffic rules, causes of road accidents, first aid, driving carefully keeping in mind the foggy days, not to drive under the influence of alcohol and traffic rules, not to drive at an early age, taking compensation from the Saleel Fund in case of an accident with an unknown vehicle, lane driving, not to use pressure horns and environmental protection. He appealed to install high security number plates on vehicles, wear helmets on two-wheelers, park vehicles properly instead of parking them on the road, use indicators while turning left and right, do not violate red lights, do not drive vehicles after consuming any kind of intoxicants, do not burst crackers on bullet motorcycles and do not modify them.
SP Traffic HS Mann and DSP P Traffic Karnail Singh said that all traffic rules should be strictly followed so that road accidents can be reduced. On this occasion, a special eye check-up camp was organized by the medical team of Sohana Hospital, in which the eyes of operational staff conductors / drivers were examined by eye specialists.
During this, drivers were made aware that they should get their eyes checked regularly and drive carefully, so that people's lives and property will be safe. During this, they were given information about calling helpline numbers 112 and 181 to seek and give help from the police as well as calling 1930 for cyber crime.
