There will be no compromise on the quality of the works being carried out by the corporation, negligence will not be tolerated: Mayor Jeeti Sidhu

SAS Nagar, January 16- The Finance and Contract Committee meeting of Mohali Municipal Corporation was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu, in which work orders for previously approved works worth Rs 70 crore 60 lakh were given, while new estimates of Rs 3 crore 62 lakh were passed.

SAS Nagar, January 16- The Finance and Contract Committee meeting of Mohali Municipal Corporation was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu, in which work orders for previously approved works worth Rs 70 crore 60 lakh were given, while new estimates of Rs 3 crore 62 lakh were passed.
Senior Deputy Mayor Amrik Singh Somal, Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi, Corporation Commissioner T Benith, Councilors Jasbir Singh Manku and Anuradha Anand and other officials attended the meeting.
Giving information after the meeting, Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu said that the works approved in the meeting included installation of new traffic signals at Sector 74, 90-91; renovation of the community center in Sector 69 and 70; purchase of another funeral van for the Mohali crematorium; Major works include handing over the libraries run by the Municipal Corporation to social welfare organizations; maintenance of green belts from Baba White House to Jagatpura Entry; construction of yoga shed in Sylvie Park; solid waste management works at the dumping point in Phase 8B of Mohali; construction of shed in Mini Market Phase 10; construction of shed at Jagatpura dumping point.
