These children in the age group of 1 to 19 years include 69946 children from government schools, 48725 children from private schools, 5138 school drop-outs and 26542 children from Anganwadi centres.

He informed that apart from this, a special campaign will be run in the district from 20th to 4th December 2023 for the purpose of controlling diarrhea. Under this campaign, ORS packets will be distributed to 35408 children between the age of 0 to 5 years through Asha workers. In this campaign, apart from school children, children of Anganwadi centers have also been targeted. Apart from this, children in schools and Anganwadi centers will be given practical information about the correct methods of hand washing so that along with cleanliness, they can protect themselves from diseases caused by infection. Deputy Commissioner Una directed the officers of various departments to ensure timely training of staff and availability of materials used to make these campaigns and programs related to children successful so that the set targets can be achieved.
