Punjab government committed to the development of the state: Jai Krishna Singh Raudi

Garhshankar, January 10: Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Jai Krishna Singh Raudi today inaugurated the construction work of roads being built at a cost of Rs 2 crore 15 lakh at Mahilpur in Garhshankar sub-division.

Addressing the local residents on the occasion, the Deputy Speaker said that the state government is committed to the development of the state. He said that the promise he had made to construct roads during the Nagar Panchayat elections is being fulfilled. He said that the construction of these roads will not only provide better road connectivity to the villages but will also boost agricultural and business activities. These development works will prove to be a boon for the farmers, traders and general public of the area.
He said that the Punjab government has made comprehensive plans to strengthen the infrastructure in Garhshankar sub-division. Under these schemes, special attention is being given to roads, water supply, health facilities and education facilities. Raudi said that this project is part of the overall development agenda of the state government. Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Raudi directed the officials to complete the work on time and in a transparent manner. He appealed to all the citizens to cooperate in the development schemes of the government. The local residents welcomed the initiative and thanked the Deputy Speaker and the Punjab Government. Officers of various departments and dignitaries of the area were also present on the occasion.
