
194th birth anniversary of Mata Savitri Bai Phule ji celebrated
Nawanshahr- 194th birth anniversary of India's first teacher Mata Savitri Bai Phule ji was celebrated with great enthusiasm by Sahib Kanshi Ram Samaj Welfare Society Regd. Punjab at Sri Guru Ravidas Mandir. On this occasion, 70 women were presented with shawls to protect them from cold. Mr. Ramesh Ladhar UK and Master Santokh Singh USA gave special support in making this program successful.

On this occasion, the chief guest, Jathedar Bhai Kewal Singh ji, the head servant of the holy pilgrimage place Sri Khuralgarh Sahib ji and the president of the society said in a joint statement that women in this country are kept in superstition that if a woman studies in a house, then one or the other member of that house may die. Mata Savitri Bai Phule ji, after studying herself, started teaching women of all religions living in India and also inspired women to rise above superstition and fear and study.
She said that I also want to tell you all that my husband and the rest of my family are still alive. No one in our family died due to education. On 1 January 1848, the first school was opened in India and thousands of women were educated there. Which remains an example in the whole world even today.
On this occasion, extensive support was provided by Sandeep Singh Kaler, Master Des Raj Naurand, Manjit Raju, Satpal Bali, Yograj, Sandeep Sahajal. On this occasion, apart from others, Auto Union President Parneet Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar, Raman Laddhar, Jaila, Arun Bali, Lale, Rajni, Bibi Rani, Gurmito, Sulinder, Satya Rani, Bhajan Kaur, Paramjit Kaur and a large number of others were present.
