Blankets distributed to Divyang children in a function dedicated to Shri Dashmesh Aagaman Diwas

Chandigarh- Today, a grand function was organized in Dr. Ambedkar Colony Sector-56 Chandigarh by Divyang Welfare Society Chandigarh to distribute blankets to Divyang children dedicated to Shri Dashmesh Aagaman Diwas. The chief guest of this function was Mr. Subhash Bhaskar, former secretary of Chandigarh Sahitya Academy and the special guests were Hindi journalist and litterateur Mr. Prem Vij and Punjab State Convenor litterateur Jaspal Singh Kanwal. The function was presided over by the President of the organization Rajkumar Bahadur Singh Gosal.

The function started with Jagtar Singh Jog singing the religious song "Tu Dis Ni Kandh Sirhind Diye, Tu Kithe Lal Chhupe" composed by Prince Bahadur Singh Gosal. After this, the President of the organization Ramesh Chanaulia highlighted the activities of the organization in the last 40 years. After this, the chairman of the organization Prince Bahadur Singh Gosal welcomed the chief guest, special guests and other dignitaries and said that this organization has been working for the welfare of disabled children for the last 40 years and every year in winters blankets are distributed to disabled children and every facility has been arranged for them.
Jaspal Singh Kanwal, Mr. Prem Vij and Darshan Singh Sidhu also addressed on this occasion. Mr. Subhash Bhaskar thanked all the members for this great initiative of the organization and wished them a Happy New Year and Guruparva and assured all possible help from his side. He congratulated Prince Bahadur Singh Gosal for educating disabled children and keeping them away from drugs.
After this, in the second phase of the program, free blankets and New Year calendars were distributed to 30 disabled children and elderly people. Many elderly disabled women were also among those who received blankets. This year these blankets have been given by the Gosal family located in Sector-37, Chandigarh. On behalf of the disabled children, Divyang Monu Balak thanked the organization and said that this organization has been serving poor and disabled children for a long time. From time to time, the organization takes various initiatives for the upliftment and education of disabled children. Due to which many disabled children including him have grown up and started employment and are always grateful to the organization.
Apart from many disabled children, their parents and local dignitaries were present in this program. On this occasion, Balwinder Singh, Surjan Singh Jassal, Darshan Singh Sidhu, Jagtar Singh Jog, Ratan Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Surveer Singh, Bhagwan Das, Anupam, Ramnandan Anil Kumar, Gurwinder Singh, Sunita Rani, Saraswati Kamlesh, Amandeep Kaur and others were present. The stage was conducted by the President of the organization Ramesh Chanolia and at the end of the program, Vice President of Vishesh Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh, Darshan Singh Sidhu thanked the chief guests, other guests and disabled children and their parents.
