CMO flagged off the Nikshay vehicles

Una, January 4- Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sanjeev Verma flagged off Nikshay vehicles and two-wheelers from the district hospital Una campus under the 100-day TB free campaign. He said that the state government has started this campaign to make the state TB free. Under the campaign, Asha workers will go door-to-door to collect information about the common people suffering from TB and take samples of their sputum for testing. Along with this, Nikshay camps will also be organized in every village, in which various departments including the Panchayati Raj department will also participate.

CMO Dr Sanjeev Verma said that under the guidelines of the state government, a special campaign is being organized for 100 days. Under the campaign, special Nikshay vehicles and two-wheelers will be used to take information about tuberculosis from house to house so that the general public can be informed about the symptoms of tuberculosis such as cough, fever in the evening, sputum, blood in the sputum, shortness of breath, chest pain. The examination of the possible people will be ensured and if someone has tuberculosis, his treatment will also be ensured as soon as possible.
The CMO said that under the campaign, a target has been set to test more than 75,000 people in the district, out of which 35,845 potential people have been tested so far and 10 TB patients have been registered so far and their treatment has also been started. He has appealed to the general public and all departments to extend their cooperation in making this campaign a success so that the campaign can be made successful.
On this occasion, Medical Superintendent Dr. Sanjay Mankotia, District Health Officer Dr. Sukhdeep Singh Sidhu, District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Vishal Thakur, DRTV - HIV Coordinator Gulshan Kumar, Program Coordinator Rakesh Thakur, Supervisor Sandeep Dheer and others were present.
