
Dr. Zora Singh and Dr. Tajinder Kaur paid tribute to the songs of Mohammad Rafi
Mandi Gobindgarh, December 30 - Yadgar-e-Rafi Society paid tribute to the famous singer Mohammad Rafi by celebrating his 100th birth centenary with the Mohammad Rafi Memorial Night-2024. It was a mesmerizing evening of popular songs sung by Mohammad Rafi and spiritual melodies.
Mandi Gobindgarh, December 30 - Yadgar-e-Rafi Society paid tribute to the famous singer Mohammad Rafi by celebrating his 100th birth centenary with the Mohammad Rafi Memorial Night-2024. It was a mesmerizing evening of popular songs sung by Mohammad Rafi and spiritual melodies.
On this occasion, Punjab Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO was the chief guest and Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur attended as special guests and paid tribute to Rafi Sahib. Mohammad Rafi Sahib's son Shahid Rafi, his wife Firdous Rafi and Minister Harbhajan Singh were honored by Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur. On the other hand, Dr. Zora Singh was honored by Yadgar-e-Rafi Society by Shahid Rafi and General Secretary BD Sharma.
On this occasion, Dr. Zora Singh described Mohammad Rafi as a symbol of excellence and humility. Dr. Tajinder Kaur highlighted the eternal memory of Rafi Sahib's music and called it a treasure beyond generations.
The event was also attended by Bar Council of India member Suvir Sidhu, Sanjeev Kumar, DGM Union Bank; SMS Sandhu, former chairman of Infotech Punjab; Dr. Surjit Kaur Patheja, Director Media DBU Jasbir Maggu and other prominent personalities.
Meanwhile, Desh Bhagat Radio 107.8 FM (Aapki Awaaz) and Tricity Senior Citizens celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of the famous singer Mohammad Rafi. On this occasion, the founder members of Bollywood Facilitation Cell Chandigarh, Vimal Trikha, Rakesh Jethi, Bhushan Malhotra, Deepak Rakhi and SK Arora paid tribute to Mohammed Rafi with songs. They also shared valuable and interesting information about Mohammed Rafi. DB Radio's Station Head RJ Sanghammitra paid tribute to the king of music Mohammed Rafi. He said that Mohammed Rafi's singing is evergreen.
