Shahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 24, 2025- In connection with the 15th National Voters' Day, debate competitions were organized today at Shaheed Major Harminderpal Singh Government College Mohali under the leadership of Principal Gurinderjit Kaur on the topic 'Participation of Youth in Voter Awareness'.
District Nodal Officer Sweep Professor Gurbakshish Singh Antal and Election Tehsildar Sanjay Kumar attended these competitions as special guests. On this occasion, the National Cadet Corps volunteers also took an oath to get voter registration done and participate in elections to strengthen democracy.
District Nodal Officer Sweep Professor Gurbakshish Singh Antal said that the district level National Voters' Day celebrations will be held at Shivalik Public Phase 6 Mohali, in which District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain will attend as the Chief Guest. During this program, a cycle rally from 3B1 Mohali will also be the main attraction to spread the message of voter awareness.
Certificates were distributed to the winning students of Vav Vaidya competitions by the college principal Gurinderjit Kaur and District Nodal Officer Sweep Professor Gurbakhshish Singh Antal. Guests were thanked by the college professor Gunjit Kaur.
