Health Department organized an awareness seminar on drugs and its treatment at District Education and Training Institute, Ajjowal

Hoshiarpur- As per the orders of Honorable Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur, Mrs. Komal Mittal, District De-Addiction Center, Ajjowal, Hoshiarpur, Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra and Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Harbans Kaur, Principal Anupam, District Education and Training Center, Hoshiarpur, organized an awareness seminar on drugs and its treatment by the Rehabilitation Center of the Health Department.
On this occasion, Psychologist Dr. Deputy Counselor Mrs. Tania Vohra said that according to the World Health Organization, addiction is a mental disease, which is treated free of cost in government health institutions. She gave detailed information to the counselor about the causes, symptoms and diseases of drugs. Prashant Adia said that drug de-addiction treatment is provided free of cost in the Hoshiarpur District De-Addiction Center, Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur and Dasuha.
In which the patient is kept under observation for the first 15-21 days. Detoxification is done. After this, the patient is admitted to the Government Rehabilitation Center Mohalla Fatehgarh Hoshiarpur for 90 days, where individual counseling, group counseling, spiritual counseling as well as sports and therapy are done.
He said that along with drug de-addiction treatment, certified skill development courses are also conducted so that the patient can stand on his own feet after recovery. If a patient comes for treatment, the drug de-addiction center is committed to providing complete treatment. Vice Principal Satwant Kaur, Shikha Sharma, Ritu Kumra, Dilbagh Singh, Didar Singh, all the staff and students were present on this occasion.
