Patiala, December 24- Shraddhanand Balidan Diwas and Shaheedi Diwas of four Sahibzadas were celebrated at DAV Public School Bhupinder Road. In which the students were made aware of the contribution of Swami Shraddhanand who was an Indian educationist, great Arya Samaj missionary and a close associate of Swami Dayanand.
Swami Shraddhanand worked tirelessly to promote education, bring social reforms and revive Vedic culture. The Lasani martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his sons for the protection of religion was remembered which is an integral part of Sikh history. A special Havan Yagna was performed under the leadership of Mrs. Swaraj Joshi and Mrs. Rachna Sharma.
The Principal Mr. Vivek Tiwari expressed the secular spirit of DAV and paid tribute to the great martyrs, the great four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and everyone was mesmerized by the speech and poetry recitation of class VIII students Dugu and Palak Joshi. Chaupai Sahib was recited by students and teachers to pay tribute to the great sacrifice of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his Sahibzadas. Langar of bread pakoras was served.
On this occasion, Principal Mr Vivek Tiwari said, 'By celebrating the great days and remembering the contributions of real heroes, DAV aims to inspire the youth to realise their strength to face the challenges of life with courage and determination.
