Mahilpur- An I-League match was held between Football Club Delhi and Shalog Lajong Football Club at the newly built Coach Ali Hasan Football Stadium in Mahilpur, an area known as the nursery of football. Ranjit Singh Bajaj has taken the responsibility of this stadium built by Minerva Club Mohali. He organized this event for the first time in Mahilpur under the leadership of the Football Federation.
The Deputy Commissioner of the district Komal Mittal attended this match as the chief guest. Principal Harbhajan Singh, Vice President of Sporting Club Mahilpur, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh, sports writer Baljinder Mann, Ram Tirath Parmar, Parampreet Rao, Krishnajit Rao Kandowal, Harnandan Singh Khabra, Tarlochan Singh Sandhu, Principal Jagmohan Singh, Roshanjit Singh Panam, Hardev Singh Dhillon were present with her.
The first goal in the packed stadium was scored by Hariyata, a player wearing jersey number seven from Delhi Football Club. At the end of the first half, Shillong Lizang player Bhuam scored a goal and brought his team on equal terms. In the second half, Football Club Delhi players Binong and Jangra scored from the left side and won the hearts of the spectators.
