Pensioners Day celebrated in the auditorium of Education Board

Punjab School Education Board, Mohali: Pensioners Day was celebrated with great pomp by the Board's Retiree Association in the auditorium of Punjab School Education Board. In the first phase, Kavi Darbar was organized. Dr. Gurvinder Sidhu, Darshan Tiuna, Harminder Singh, Ratan Babkwala, Harpreet Kaur, Harsimrat Kaur Grewal, Gurmel Singh Mojowal, Amarjit Kaur, Harbhajan Kaur Dhillon participated in the Kavi Darbar. Four-year-old little girl Mehtab Kaur surprised the audience by reciting the poem "Tree". The entire proceedings of Kavi Darbar were conducted by Bibi Amarjit Kaur. All the poets were honored.

As the chief guest in the function, the newly appointed Secretary of the Board, Madam Parleen Kaur Brar assured the retired employees that their demands/problems would be heard prominently. Giving information to the press, Media Incharge Harinder Pal Singh Harry said that on this occasion, Secretary Madam also released the directory of all the present and retired employees prepared by the Retiree Association. He appreciated this work. This directory was dedicated to the former Chairman of the Board, late Prof. Gurbakhsh Singh Shergill, who had implemented pension in the Board without asking for it.
The retired employees of the Board will never forget this favour throughout their life. On this occasion, his family member Suraj Prakash Singh Deepak was also present as a special guest. He also appreciated the Retiree Association for appreciating the welfare work of our elderly employees. At this time, like every year, this year also the Association honoured its 6 senior members Mr. K.K. Garg, Surjit Singh Malhi, Usha Sharma, Harjinder Kaur Jandoo, Baldev Krishna and Gurnam Singh.
At this time, Board Employees Union President Ramandap Kaur Gill and former President Parvinder Singh Khangura expressed their views and assured their support to the retired employees. At this time, the stage was successfully managed by the General Secretary of the Retiree Association, Gulmel Singh Mojowal.
