
School safety training program on disaster management organized
Una, December 13- A one-day school safety training program on disaster management was organized by the 14th Battalion National Disaster Response Force team, Nurpur District Kangra, at Government Senior Secondary School Jakhera on Friday. About 256 students, academic and non-academic staff of the school also actively participated in this training program. During this, the children of the school saw, heard and practiced CPR, emergency measures to be taken at the time of fire and flood and first aid treatment etc.

In the programme, Inspector Aadesh Kumar and Sub Inspector Avtar Singh from NDRF along with their entire team informed the children about the mock drill of various relief and rescue measures to save themselves and other people's lives from risk during various types of natural and man-made disasters.
District Training Officer, Rajan Kumar Sharma from Disaster Management Cell, Una said that the NDRF team presented a medical treatment kit to the Disaster Management Officer and Disaster Management Committee members of the school so that it can be used quickly during any kind of school related disaster.
On this occasion, the school's principal Sulinder Nath Dhiman thanked the NDRF team and the district administration team and said that this training program is very important for the children. He said that with this, the children will be able to save their lives and the lives of others in future during any disaster.
On this occasion, Revenue Kanungo from the local administration, Disaster Friend Chetan Kumar, School Disaster Management Incharge and all school teachers, non-teaching staff and all members of the School Disaster Management Committee were also actively present.
