Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 12 December 2024: District Magistrate, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar Mrs. Ashika Jain has issued orders under Section 163, Chapter 11 of the Indian Civil Safety Code-2023, imposing a complete ban on running non-vegetarian shops and dumping of their waste within one thousand meters of the Air Force Station of the district (within the district limits) so that no accident occurs with aircraft, no loss of life or property occurs. These orders will be in force from 11 December 2024 to 10 February 2025.
District Magistrate Mrs. Ashika Jain said that it has come to our notice that many food shops have been opened by the general public around the Air Force Station, they throw the waste of these items in the open, due to which carnivorous birds keep flying in the Air Force area. 
With their flying, there is a fear of an accident due to collision with an aircraft at any time, which also poses a threat to national security and also disrupts the services being provided by the Army. As a result, there is a fear of disruption of the law and order situation. In view of this situation, these orders have been issued to stop these activities.
