S.A.S. Nagar December 10, 2024: Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner-cum-President, District Red Cross Branch, SAS Nagar Ashika Jain, the Red Cross Branch today organized a medical checkup camp and first aid awareness camp at village Mirzapur, block Majri, tehsil Kharar, in Kandi area, in which the children and teachers of Mirzapur School were made aware about first aid. 
General medical checkup was done on the children, teachers and people of the village of Mirzapur School. On this occasion, Secretary Red Cross Harbans Singh informed that the District Red Cross Branch is always ready to help the poor and needy people. He also informed that all this was possible only with the orders of Deputy Commissioner-cum-President Ashika Jain, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Senior Vice President Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke and Assistant Commissioner-cum-Unpaid Secretary Dr. Ankita Kansal. 
The Secretary Red Cross also informed that during this camp, general medical check-up of the people and children of the village was done and free medicines were also given. This camp was organized with the support of the team including Civil Surgeon, SAS Nagar, Dr. Alkjot Kaur, Senior Medical Officer, Primary Health Center, Boothgarh, Dr. Monica. On this occasion, the team of Red Cross, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar was also present.
