Karhali Sahib, 5 December- A grand Nagar Kirtan dedicated to the unparalleled martyrdom of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was organized at the historic Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi 6th and 9th Karhali Sahib. The Nagar Kirtan started under the leadership of the Panj Pyare Sahibs under the patronage of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
In this annual gathering, where the Sikh Sangat chanting the name of Guru Nanak from far and wide reached and participated in their own means, apart from military bands, Gatka parties, students of various schools bowed their heads in the Nagar Kirtan in their own ways according to Guru Maryada.
This Nagar Kirtan, which started from the historic place Gurdwara Karhali Sahib, was honored with enthusiasm and reverence by the Sangat of the village at different stages. Former President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar described the sacrifice of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji as unique in the history of the world.
He said that Guru Ji himself went to the killer to protect other religions. That is why the whole world considers Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji as the protector of all religions.
