Patiala, December 4 - Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav today held a meeting with the district officers of various departments here and reviewed the initiatives being taken for the welfare of women and children. On this occasion, she directed that the officers of all the concerned departments should discharge their due responsibility with dedication to bring qualitative and quantitative improvements in the schemes and programs being run for the welfare of women and children.

While reviewing the performance of two Bamboo Schools being run at Dhablan and Masingan, Dr. Preeti Yadav said that her main goal is to bring about 160 students studying from pre-primary to fifth standard here into the mainstream of education and teach them life skills. So that the personality of these children can develop constructively.
Dr. Preeti Yadav reviewed the school dropout rate, adoption process of orphans, measures to eliminate child labor and child begging, performance of Child Welfare Committee, District Education Society, Sakhi One Stop Center, malnutrition and Anganwadi centers. RTO Naman Mardkan, District Child Protection Officer Shaina Kapoor, District Vaccination Officer Kushaldeep Gill and other officers were present on the occasion.
