Hoshiarpur: While launching the construction of streets in ward number 50 of the city, MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has done unprecedented work for the development of Hoshiarpur in just two and a half years of tenure, which the previous governments could not do even during their long rule. 
He said that after the formation of the government, works worth about Rs 35 crore have been approved by the Municipal Corporation, with which tubewells, road construction work and other basic facilities have been provided to the people in the city. MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that construction of streets is being done at a cost of about Rs 22 lakh in ward number 50. He directed the Municipal Corporation officials that there should be no deficiency in the quality of construction works. 
He said that the Punjab government has left no stone unturned in strengthening the Hoshiarpur Municipal Corporation and the Municipal Corporation has been strengthened by providing modern machinery and other necessary equipment. He appealed to the city residents to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation and help in keeping Hoshiarpur clean. 
He said that only with joint efforts can Hoshiarpur be developed as an ideal city. Mayor Sundar Kuma, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjita Chaudhary, Councilor Gurmeet Ram, Dilawar, Raja and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
