
Constitution Day celebrated in various schools by District Legal Services Authority
Hoshiarpur: Following the orders of the Honorable Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, Mohali, the Constitution Day was celebrated today at the Legal Literacy Club of Government Senior Secondary School, Ghanta Ghar, Hoshiarpur by the CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal under the leadership of the District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Dilbagh Singh Johal.
Hoshiarpur: Following the orders of the Honorable Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, Mohali, the Constitution Day was celebrated today at the Legal Literacy Club of Government Senior Secondary School, Ghanta Ghar, Hoshiarpur by the CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal under the leadership of the District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Dilbagh Singh Johal.
On this occasion, the school students were enlightened about the Constitution and it was told that the creator of the Constitution was Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Ji. Who created the Constitution and made people of all classes aware of their rights. Along with this, the students were asked to read the Preamble. So that they could know about their rights and entitlements and a quiz competition was organized for five teams of school students.
During this competition, questions were asked to the students regarding the Constitution and after securing the first, second and third positions, the winning students were encouraged by the Secretary by giving away trophies as well as books on the Constitution as prizes. Along with this, the students were given information about the schemes and free legal aid issued by NALSA and Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, Mohali.
Apart from the above, on the occasion of Constitution Day, seminars were organized to make the students of various schools of Hoshiarpur district and sub-division Government Senior Secondary School Legal Literacy Club Dasuha, Mukerian and Garhshankar aware about the Constitution. Panel Advocate Harjit Kaur and Paralegal Volunteer Kasturi Lal organized a seminar at JJS Asha Kiran, School, Hoshiarpur.
During which they gave information about the Constitution to the students on the occasion of Constitution Day. And Sub Division Retainer Advocate Sarita Kanwar and PLV Praveen Kumari organized a seminar at School of Empowered, Garhshankar and Blind School, Hoshiarpur. In which the students were given information about the Constitution on the occasion of Constitution Day. On this occasion, Principal/Incharge of Government Senior Secondary School Legal Literacy Clubs and Jaswinder Singh Front Office Coordinator, Hoshiarpur were present.
