Hoshiarpur: District Education Officer (Elementary Education) Sukhwinder Singh (Tate Awardee Administrative) conducted a surprise inspection of Government Elementary School Railway Mandi. During this inspection, he thoroughly inspected the various activities and arrangements going on in the school. And especially inspected the Mid-Day Meal Scheme. The objective of Mid-Day Meal is to provide nutritious food to the children, which helps in improving their health and academic performance.
Mr. Singh closely inspected the quality of Mid-Day Meal, cooking process, cleanliness and food served to the children. He expressed satisfaction over the quality of the food. And termed it commendable. Mr. Singh interacted with the teachers and kitchen staff to get information about the food preparation process and the efforts being made to maintain the nutritional level of the students.
He also inspected the kitchen and store rooms and stressed on maintaining high standards of cleanliness. During the inspection, he visited the classrooms and interacted with the students and took stock of their academic performance. He instructed the teachers to adopt innovative methods for the education and development of the children. Finally, he urged the school administration to take more efforts for the all-round development of the children. This inspection shows the commitment of the education department towards the schemes and further strengthens the objective of improving education and nutritional facilities in government schools.
