DC holds review meeting to resolve problems of industrialists

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, November 20, 2024: Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Ashika Jain, in a meeting called today to review the resolution of problems related to industrialists, instructed the officers of the District Industries Center to resolve these problems in a time-bound manner.
During a meeting with officers of the Rural Development and Panchayat Department, Lead Bank and Industries Department at the meeting hall of the District Administrative Complex here today, they were informed about these problems as well as the progress made so far on the demands put forward by the industrialists during the government-industrialist meeting held in September last year.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified on this occasion that Mohali is fast becoming a hub for industrial investment, for which while the existing problems need to be resolved on a priority basis, it is also our primary duty to provide a comfortable environment to new and existing investors.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Sonam Chaudhary, who was present in the meeting, presented a report on the action being taken in the district regarding the problems faced by the industrialists. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner listened to each case seriously and issued necessary instructions on the spot.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the General Manager of the District Industries Center, Arshjit Singh, Functional Manager Kanwarpreet Kaur to resolve the problems related to them within the stipulated time. He said that for the problems which have to be resolved at the state level, they should contact the concerned officials and get them resolved on a priority basis.
The Deputy Commissioner directed them to hold a review meeting on a regular basis at a fixed time to resolve the problems so that the industrialists and investors do not face any difficulty in investing and setting up projects at their preferred locations.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the District Lead Bank Punjab National Bank Manager MK Bhardwaj, who was present in the meeting, to assess the problems of the industrialists related to various banks in the district and submit a report. Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad Ranjit Singh was also present in the meeting.
