Una, November 19 - Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal visited the pickup-bike accident site in Lalsingi on Tuesday and directed the officials to install railings on the drain along the road for public safety. During this, MC Una officials and local people were present. The Deputy Commissioner said that the Public Works Department officials have also been instructed to make strong arrangements for safety here, so that the possibility of further accidents can be avoided.
Let us tell you, in a road accident that took place yesterday near Lalsingi on the old-Hoshiarpur road, two bike riders fell into the drain along the road and were seriously injured. To prevent the accidents happening here every day, the people of Lalsingi met the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday and handed him a memorandum and requested to make strong arrangements for public safety regarding the drain along the road.
Taking immediate cognizance of this, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal visited the site on Monday itself and directed the officials to take immediate corrective measures. The villagers said that the drain along the road is very big and deep and there are no safety arrangements of any kind due to which some or the other passerby keeps falling victim to accidents in the drain. The Deputy Commissioner assured them of a proper solution as soon as possible.
