
School managers should ensure admission of children belonging to weaker sections and deprived groups - Deputy Director
Una, November 16 - Deputy Director Elementary Education Una Som Lal Dhiman has directed the managers and principals of all private schools and non-aided schools of the district to ensure the admission of 25 percent children belonging to weaker sections and disadvantaged groups in schools under Rule 12.1 A of the Right to Education Act 2009.
Una, November 16 - Deputy Director Elementary Education Una Som Lal Dhiman has directed the managers and principals of all private schools and non-aided schools of the district to ensure the admission of 25 percent children belonging to weaker sections and disadvantaged groups in schools under Rule 12.1 A of the Right to Education Act 2009. He has directed the managers/principals of all schools to display the total number of children, the number of children admitted under weaker sections and disadvantaged groups on the notice board in the school. He said that if during inspection in any school, the number of children is not found on the notice board of the school, then action will be taken against the concerned school manager/principal as per rules for disobeying the guidelines.
The deputy director has asked all school managers and principals to make as many people aware as possible to ensure admission of 25 percent children from weaker sections and deprived groups so that maximum number of children can take benefit from it. Apart from this, for payment of children's fee, educational institutions can submit all the documents along with the form prescribed by the education department to the deputy director's office of elementary education so that the fee of the children from weaker sections and deprived groups studying in the institutions can be paid to the concerned educational institutions.
