During a meeting with the officers of various departments of the district at the District Administrative Complex, he said that no kind of laxity will be tolerated in the ongoing works of government projects. The Additional Deputy Commissioner reviewed the various development works to be done for the cleanliness of playgrounds, ponds, getting rid of illegal encroachments from the Shamlat lands, and improving the appearance of the village. The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed to get maximum various works done by the MGNREGA workers under the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Sonam Chaudhary asked for planting saplings in villages under MGNREGA, building more ponds under the common water tank scheme, developing infrastructure for rainwater conservation in schools, ensuring the participation of MGNREGA workers in building playgrounds.
She also directed the officers of the departments related to rural development to personally go to the field and personally monitor the projects. She also asked the District Employment Bureau to go to the villages and set up camps to make the youth aware about employment so that maximum unemployed people can be provided employment. She paid more attention to the mid-day meal provided in the school and said that the quality of the food prepared by the parents of the children should be checked and its entry should be made in the register regularly. She said that the roads damaged during the floods should be repaired quickly so that people do not have to face any difficulties. She asked the drain officials to pay special attention to cleaning the drains so that the flood situation can be avoided like before.
Sonam Chaudhary said that the BDPOs of the district should personally inspect the cleanliness of the villages. The Additional Deputy Commissioner asked all the officers including the BDPOs to expedite the development works and personally visit the ongoing works. He asked the officers of all the departments to submit progress reports of the works from time to time to complete the ongoing development works in the district as soon as possible.
Along with this, he instructed the officers of PWD and Mandi Board to strengthen the berms of the roads so that the roads can be protected from damage in case of water inflow. He appealed to complete the work under solid and liquid waste in the villages expeditiously within the stipulated time. While getting information about the development works being done in the villages from the BDPOs, he directed them to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach the eligible persons at the ground level.
During the meeting, he reviewed the schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Vishwakarma Yojana, Atma Scheme, PW Works, Swachhta Survekshan etc. and also directed the concerned departments to provide the usage certificate soon. He reviewed the ongoing works under the MPLAD scheme and asked them to complete them on time.
During the meeting, the officials of the Agriculture Department informed that under the Crop Residue Management Scheme for stubble management, so far 143 individual farmers have purchased machines and 40 machines have been purchased by 12 farmer groups. He also said that funds of Rs 4 crore 50 lakh have been received for providing subsidy and so far action has been taken to release Rs 1 crore 15 lakh directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries through banks. And the verification of the outstanding machines is going on and after verification, the due subsidy will also be released. The ADC should also ensure that the work discussed during the meeting is completed by the next meeting.
On this occasion, SDM Kharar Gurmander Singh, District Development and Panchayat Officer, all BDPOs, along with the PWD department's XEN and senior officers of other departments were present.
