Garhshankar November 4 - In protest against the killing of Sikhs and Punjabis in 84 by the Kirti Kisan Union and the Democratic Teachers Front, protest was expressed at the local Gandhi Park. Mukesh Kumar, state joint secretary of Dhesi and Democratic Teachers Front, said that even after 40 years of the Sikh genocide, there was no justice and the culprits were not punished.
He said that after the death of Prime Minister Indira, the Sikh race was killed in the country and behind it was a well-conceived conspiracy of the then Congress government and the RSS. Earlier, political leaders were killed in parts of the country. Such incidents did not happen at that time. But in 1984, the issue of such hatred towards Sikhs was actually aimed at the minorities of the RSS.
The leaders said that the BJP-RSS government of the time is working under the tyrannical policy of destroying the prosperity of this country and painting it in one color, it is trying to implement the Citizenship Amendment Act and Uniform Civil Code on the country. Both these laws are alarm bells for minorities. Writers, intellectuals and organizational activists who raised their voices against these laws have been jailed. And the rights of bail are not being given and under such policies the Sikh prisoners who have completed these sentences are also locked up in jails.
On this occasion, Kirti Kisan Union District Leader Kulwinder Chahal, Surjit Singh Badesron, DTF Leader Sukhdev Dansiwal, Jarnail Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Pensioner Leader Balveer Singh Khanpuri, Hans Raj Garshankar, Satpal Keller, Gurmel Singh, Principal Dr. Bikar Singh and Punjab Student Union. State leader Baljit Singh Dharamkot addressed.
