During this, the purchase of paddy, lifting process and direct payments in the farmers' accounts were reviewed.
Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal met farmers, farmers and officials in the market. He said that efforts are being made to speed up the lifting process so that the purchased crop can be picked up from the markets on time.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the farmers that they will not face any inconvenience in selling the crop. He appealed to the farmers and asked them to bring paddy with prescribed moisture in the markets so that they do not have to face any problem. He said that the administration is making all possible efforts to make the procurement process easier. He said that drinking water, cleanliness, shade, tarpaul and vardana have been provided in the markets. He said that the produce of the farmers is being paid directly to their account on time, so that there is no financial problem.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the farmers should bring their paddy in the mandis of the district without hesitation. He said that till October 25, a total of 175318 metric tons of paddy has arrived in the markets of the district, out of which 171876 metric tons have been purchased. He urged the farmers to immediately contact the concerned authorities for any kind of problem or complaint. He said that the administration will ensure that the interests of the farmers are fully protected and the procurement process is transparent and completed on time.
MLA Dasuha Karambir Singh Ghuman said that one grain of the crop brought by the farmers will be bought in the markets and lifting will also be ensured along with the payment in a certain time.
