Giving information in this regard, the General Secretary of the organization Dr. Gurdas Singh Sekhon said that HMV College should be started to be autonomous, regarding the Seventh Pay Commission, regularization of 1925 teachers, PF. Basic and DA deductions. After discussing the issues of starting agitation against the college managements that do not give the benefits of the 7th Pay Commission to the unaided staff, etc., it has been decided to hold protests at various levels. He warned the state government and the representatives of the local management committees of the colleges against neglecting the interests of the teachers and said that PCCTU stands with all its teachers in every struggle.
PPCTU State President Dr. Seema Jaitley while releasing the outline of the organizational struggle said that a protest will be held at DAV and HMV College on 21-22 April by wearing black badges, a two-hour campus protest on 23-24 April, a candle march on 25 April, a one-day hunger strike on 26 April and a protest in front of the DAV Management Committee New Delhi office on 29 April.
Giving further information, he said that a protest will be held in front of the VC office of Panjab University on May 2 against the discrimination being done in the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission in some colleges of Panjab University. On this occasion, the executive also announced to protest in front of the house of the Aam Aadmi Party candidate during the Ludhiana by-election against the delay being done by the state government in implementing the Seventh Pay Commission.
On this occasion, PCCTU President Dr. Seema Jaitley thanked the Principal of Mata Gujri College Fatehgarh Sahib Dr. Kashmir Singh for the valuable support provided for the executive meeting.
On this occasion, all the members of the PCCTU executive, AIFACTO Vice President Dr. Vinay Soft, GNDU Area Secretary Dr. Sukhdev Singh Randhawa, Panjab University Area Secretary Dr. Raman Kumar Sharma, Punjabi University Area Secretary Dr. Bahadur Singh, DAV Colleges Convener Dr. B.B.
