Garhshankar, October 17 - Under the competition of literary and artistic activities of students of various colleges under Zone A of Punjab University Chandigarh in district Hoshiarpur, the students of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur have performed brilliantly in the annual Punjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival held recently at GTV College Dasuha.
In this competition, the Jhoomar team of the college got the first position and the Bhangra team got the third position. Today, on reaching the college, the students of the said team were welcomed under the leadership of Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh and Bhangra team in-charge Professor Manpreet Sethi. On this occasion, Principal Parvinder Singh congratulated all the members of the team on this great achievement and attributed this achievement to the hard work of the team.
On this occasion, team in-charge Prof. Manpreet Sethi said that the stage performance of the students was very good due to which the team has achieved this great achievement in the zone. On this occasion, among the team members, college alumni Khushwant Singh Bains, Yudhveer Singh, Harneel Singh Roy and Ustad Rajinder Kumar were specially present.
