Bhunarheri, October 12 - Dudhansadhan sub division SDM Kripalveer Singh visited Bhunarheri market today and reviewed the purchase of paddy. He said that the procurement of paddy in the markets falling under sub-division Dudhanasadh is going on smoothly and lifting has also started simultaneously. He said that he met the officials of procurement agencies, farmers and farmers today.
Talking to the farmers, Kripalveer Singh said that no farmer will be allowed to spend the night in the market without selling. The SDM also appealed to the farmers to bring only dry crops with specified moisture in the market so that their crops are sold as soon as they reach the market. The SDM said that the Punjab government has made alternative arrangements to the farmers for the management of stubble besides sensitizing the farmers to prevent stubble burning. He appealed to the farmers not to set fire in the fields, but to dispose of the stubble in the fields.
