Mandi Gobindgarh, October 5 - Jai Siya Ram Kala Manch, Mandi Gobindgarh organized Ram Leela at Dussehra Ground here. Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur were the chief guests. Ram Leela was inaugurated by the Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor of the University. Ram Leela, a dramatic representation of Lord Rama's life, is often performed during the festival of Dussehra and reflects traditional values, ethics and moral lessons.
On this occasion, Dr. Zora Singh said that when we gather to celebrate the eternal legacy of Lord Ram, we should reflect on his eternal qualities. He imparted knowledge of religion, courage, mercy and devotion. His life reminds us of the importance of honesty and the power of standing up for truth, despite adversity. Finally Ram Leela Committee President Deepak Malhotra, Gaurav Aggarwal Secretary, Raman Sharda Vice President, Pradeep Jindal Treasurer and Sanjay Sharma Bobby Vice President and other members thanked Dr. Zora Singh and Dr. Tajinder Kaur and honored them.
