Hoshiarpur - District Bar Association Hoshiarpur under the auspices of Advocate Ranjit Kumar Pradhan submitted a demand letter to Shri Gulab Chand Kataria Hon'ble Governor Punjab through Shri Rahul Chaba Additional Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur against rural courts. Meanwhile, while addressing the press, Advocate Ranjit Kumar said that for the smooth functioning of the justice system and quick disposal of cases, there is a need for adequate recruitment and improvement in the basic structure of judicial officers, employees, public prosecutors and the police department. Also, there is a need to make and implement the necessary laws and policies for the safety and well-being of the advocates, then the people can get justice and quick disposal of cases, otherwise the rural courts are bound to become flop mobile courts.
They demanded that the decision of rural courts is unnecessary and impractical and the government should withdraw this decision as soon as possible. Lawyers will not hesitate to use every means and struggle to make their demands come true. He said that a meeting of all Bar Associations of Punjab has been held in Rupnagar on October 3, where the next strategy will be determined and the struggle will be waged.
