
Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign: DC and ADC visited MRF of Sanur
Sanur/Patiala, October 1 - Under Swachhta Hi Seva campaign, Patiala Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav visited the Material Recovery Facility Center and MRF at Lachhman Das Park near bus stand of Sanur and inspected it. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon was also present with them.
Sanur/Patiala, October 1 - Under Swachhta Hi Seva campaign, Patiala Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav visited the Material Recovery Facility Center and MRF at Lachhman Das Park near bus stand of Sanur and inspected it. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon was also present with them.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner instructed Lakhbir Singh, the working officer of the city council, to ensure that the 17 tons of waste left in Sanur is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. He also instructed that it should be ensured that the waste from all the houses in the city is collected separately from wet and dry. He said that the city should be made clean by speeding up the ongoing cleaning operations. He appealed to the people to support them in keeping their homes and surroundings clean for a clean environment.
He said that 'Swachhta hi seva' should not be a part of service only for a few days, but always wet and dry waste should be collected separately from their homes. He said that the use of plastic should be minimized and the used plastic should be recycled.
