
Deputy Commissioner reviewed the works proposed under 'Prasad' scheme at Shri Chintapurni Temple
Una, August 29 - Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal on Thursday reviewed the development works proposed under the 'Prasad' scheme at Shri Chintapurni Temple. He took details of the detailed project report (DPR) from the representatives of the agency appointed for the implementation of the scheme on the spot and provided guidance regarding the necessary amendments.
Una, August 29 - Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal on Thursday reviewed the development works proposed under the 'Prasad' scheme at Shri Chintapurni Temple. He took details of the detailed project report (DPR) from the representatives of the agency appointed for the implementation of the scheme on the spot and provided guidance regarding the necessary amendments.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the aim of the Prasad scheme of the Union Ministry of Tourism is to promote the development and promotion of religious tourism in India. Under this, work will be done to rejuvenate religious places and enhance spiritual heritage. Shri Chintapurni Temple of Una district has also been identified under the scheme.
He said that under the Prasad Yojana, a grand building, waiting area and other facilities will be developed and expanded for the convenience of devotees at the Chintapurni temple. A budget of ?25 crore has been approved for the first phase of the scheme.
Jatin Lal said that the implementing agency has prepared the maps and DPR of the proposed works, which will be sent to the government for approval after necessary amendments.
During this, officials of the temple administration and representatives of the implementing agency were present.
