SAS Nagar, October 29, 2024: Dr BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences Mohali hosted 'Onco Moonshot-2024', a two-day multi-dimensional program focusing on Oncology, organized by the Department of Pathology.
The objective of the event was to increase understanding and awareness about cancer among students from various disciplines. On the first day, MBBS students of Phase-II visited Tata Memorial Hospital, Mullanpur, where they got a holistic view of patient care and treatment protocols at the Cancer Hospital.
The second day featured an exciting scientific 'fest' where students presented posters on a wide range of oncology topics. A total of 21 departments participated, demonstrating the collaborative spirit of the institute and highlighting the importance of multidimensional approaches in cancer research and treatment.
A key feature was the interaction between students and cancer survivors, promoting a deeper understanding of the impact of cancer. The event underscored the importance of collaboration in advancing cancer research and treatment.
